ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform preliminary pile designs, takeoffs, and quotations:
o Review and understand the project plans, specification, and geotechnical report
o Coordinate project pile/foundation designs
o Provide design and material recommendations including Value Engineering (VE) pile/foundation design alternates
o Collaborate with the Team to understand client and project needs to offer most economical design
o Coordinate and participate in conference calls between the project teams
o Prepare preliminary design submittal and coordinate material quote with the team
• Execute signed & sealed design submittals:
o Verify all project information (plans, specification, and geotechnical report) is available and adequate for the design process
o Execute submittal completion within project schedule and budget
o Review and execute any revisions required, while maintaining original design intent and budget
o Address design RFI’s
o Provide supporting documentation as required
• Provide technical sales support to effectively pitch VE alternates to clients and project engineers
• Represent Ideal at tradeshows, professional conferences, and training sessions
• Provide technical presentations to engineering firms (PDH accredited)
• Mentor and coach junior engineers
• Develop and foster strong professional relationships with respected engineers and industry leaders to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing within the specific industry
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Licensed Professional Engineer required
• Geotechnical and structural engineering experience required
• Experience in foundation design, deep foundation systems, and design software
• Ability to work (independently and in a team setting) under pressure with challenging deadlines
• Advanced computer program skills specifically with various CAD programs, Microsoft Office 365
• Must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach a team of junior engineers
• Must have authorization to work in the United States
